About NWRTC

In 1999 the Board of Commissioners for Clark County Fire Protection District 5 recognized a need for occupational health and safety training in southwest Washington.  The Northwest Regional Training Center opened in 2000 as a division of Fire District 5, and since that time has provided training in a variety of areas, including:  First Aid, CPR, and Advanced Life Support training through the American Heart Association; OSHA and WISHA required training for over 500 municipal public works employees in the Clark County area; and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training under the direction of the State of Washington Department of Health.

Since its inception, the Northwest Regional Training Center has trained in excess of 50,000 students in these various disciplines, and continues to be a leader in cost effective training throughout the region.
